Data catalog service system

The data catalog service consists of the following roles, each of which, along with their corresponding responsibilities, builds the data catalog service system.

Data storage: includes managed data and self-managed data. Managed data refers to the unified management of multiple types of data through iServer DataStore; self-managed data includes those stored in disk directories, or data in HDFS.

Data users: users who browse and retrieve data; users who use data for analysis, mapping, etc.

Data provider: Users who have data but do not have the ability to analyze the data. They can upload data for data users to use. In some applications, the data provider is also the data users.

Service manager: responsible for registering data storage to iServer, publishing data, etc.
