Obtain SuperMap License Center

On the Windows platform, the SuperMap License Center is used to manage the licenses of SuperMap GIS products. It allows you to configure license information, manage license information, and view detailed license status and usage on target machines.

The SuperMap License Center is available in various forms, and you can obtain it through any of the following methods:

• The SuperMap iServer package provides the SuperMap License Center licensing tool, located in the %SuperMap iServer_HOME%\support\SuperMapLicenseCenter directory.
• Visit SuperMap Technical Resource Center (http://support.supermap.com.cn), download the Zip package of SuperMap License Center (SuperMap License Center. zip), unzip the Zip package and it will be available.

After obtaining the SuperMap license center through the above method, run the SuperMap.LicenseCenter(for .NET 4.0).exe file under the above directory to launch the License Center.

 Notice :

• The licenses for different series of products can only be managed through the corresponding version's license center, for example, the license for the 11i series of products can only be managed through the 11i version's license center.

Configure license information

The first time you open the SuperMap License Center, the program will automatically install the dependent drivers and install a 90-day trial license by default.

Configure file license

SuperMap License Center configures file licenses through software activation. You can obtain local information through the SuperMap License Center and submit the information to SuperMap Software Co., Ltd. to obtain an official license. After obtaining formal permission, simply update to the local machine to complete the configuration of the license. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Generate file license information

Enter the homepage of SuperMap license center, click "Generate Operation Report" button, and generate the local information file (*.report) in the specified path.

2. Submit the local information file to the SuperMap Software Co., Ltd.

Submit the above local information file (*. report) to SuperMap Software Co., Ltd. SuperMap Software Co., Ltd. will generate an official license file based on your application and return it to you. Please keep it safe after receiving it.

After applying, you will receive:

• If you are licensing the SuperMap GIS 9D, 10i family of products, you will receive a *.lic9d formal license file in the format
• If you are licensing the SuperMap GIS 11i family of products, you will receive a *.licx formal license file in the format
• If you are licensing the SuperMap GIS 12i family of products, you will receive a *.lic12 formal license file in the format

3. License effective

In the SuperMap License Center, open the "Activate Update" page. Browse and select the formal license file you obtained, and then click the "Update" button to make the license effective.

Configure hardware licenses

Under the Windows operating system, the client of the stand-alone lock and the network lock can run the license tool without installing the driver; the license server of the network lock needs to install the license driver.

If an available license server has been configured in the same network segment in the current network environment, the license will be obtained and configured automatically, and manual configuration is not required. If a license server from another network segment needs to be configured, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to the "Settings" page in the SuperMap License Center
2. Confirm that the check box "Allow access to network lock of remote server" is checked.
3. If you are sure that the current computer is not on the same network segment as the network lock, enter the license server in the "Off-Segment License Server" list IP or name. The default is blank. Wait for a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the network. You can also click "Restart License Service" in the "Toolbox" on the right to take effect immediately.

Apply for trial license

Before apply for a trial license, make sure that JRE, SuperMap iObjects Java environment variables are set on your machine.

If you have ever started the iServer service, then iServer has already set the above environment variables for you.

(1) Generate operation report

Before applying for a trial license, you need to generate a running report of the machine. Go to the "Settings" page in the SuperMap License Center and click "Generate Run Report" on the right. Will be generated with a suffix of .report. You need to specify a directory for this file.

(2) Apply for trial license

You can directly apply for a trial license in the "SuperMap Technical Resource Center" on the official website of SuperMap Software Co., Ltd. All rights reserved. After application, you will receive:

• If you are licensing the SuperMap GIS 9D, 10i family of products, you will receive a *.lic9d A trial license file in the format
• If you are licensing the SuperMap GIS 11i family of products, you will receive a *.licx A trial license file in the format
• If you are licensing the SuperMap GIS 12i family of products, you will receive a *.lic12 A trial license file in the format

(3) Trial license takes effect

In the SuperMap License Center, open the "Activate Update" page, browse and select the trial license file you obtained, and then click the "Update" button to make the trial license effective. The licenses for different series of products can only be managed through the corresponding version's license center, for example, the license for the 12i series of products can only be managed through the 12i version's license center.

Remove trial license

The trial license you applied for can be removed. In the SuperMap License Center, open the "License Status" page, and there will be a "Clear Trial License" button on the right side of the trial license name you applied for. Click the "Clear Trial License" button to remove the trial license.

Note: The trial license that comes with the package does not support removal.

Manage license information

SuperMap License Center allows you to view license status , view license usage , and update licenses .

View license status

The ";License Status" page of the SuperMap license center displays the license information of the SuperMap GIS series products on the target machine. The information is organized according to the products. Each record under each category corresponds to a license module of the product.

Each license module record shows detailed license information, and the specific meaning of each field is as follows:

• Name: License module name.
• Type: Display whether the license type is a trial license or a formal license.
• Available Time: Display the valid start date of the license module.
• Usage: Display the current status of the license module.

View license usage

The "Connection Status" page of the SuperMap License Center displays detailed information about the SuperMap GIS family product license module currently in use on the target machine.

The contents expressed by each field of the record are as follows:

• ID: The ID value corresponding to the license module.
• Module: The name of the licensed module.
• Address: The license location of the license module, if it is sourced locally, will display as Local; Otherwise, display the IP address of the corresponding machine.
• User: The username and computer name of the computer where the license module is located.
• Process: Display the processes currently using the license module.
• Time: The time when the current license module was connected.

Update license

The "License Update" page of the SuperMap License Center is used to update the license. When you obtain the formal license file for the software activation, you need to configure the license of your computer by updating the license to make it effective. License updates can accept the following files for different purposes:

• 9D and 10i file license (*.lic9d) is used to update the formal license of 9D and 10i series products in the current computer, and the operation report of the current computer needs to be generated.

• 11i file license (*.licx) is used to update the formal license of 11i series products in the current computer, and the operation report of the current computer needs to be generated.
• 12i file license (*.lic12) is used to update the formal license of 12i series products in the current computer, and the operation report of the current computer needs to be generated.

Specific update operation:

Open the "License Update" page of the SuperMap License Center, assign the target file to the "File Location", and then click the update button.
